~Yoga to the Core~

with Amber Allen

Date March, 27th

7:00-9:00pm

$35 per student

In yoga, we use some part of the core in every pose. When our core is weak, we are more prone to injury both on our yoga mat and in our everyday life. In this workshop, you will activate the core in different ways to strengthen it and stretch it out. We will also practice traditional yoga poses while focusing on how the core increases their accessibility. A strong core can increase your confidence on and off the mat, giving you the power to know that you can! Prepare for an active asana practice followed by a long shavasana.

Her yoga path started 15 years ago, while working at Valley Mental Health.  Sallie worked with women in recovery, teaching the importance of nutrition and exercise as you heal your body from addiction.  It was here that she fully learned to let go of judgement and allow everyone to have their own experience.  During this time she certified as a Yoga instructor.  It was beautiful watching the women progress in yoga as their bodies cleared out the toxins of drugs and trauma.  She witnessed the healing power of yoga for the mind and the body.

Sallie finds teaching Yoga an inspiring and creative outlet.  She loves digging deep into the soul and helping others connect with who they really are.  Her class will help you find more joy in your journey.
